Communications for today... and tomorrow.
Using DSL with Tek-ENTRY® Systems
TE903, TE904, TE905A & TE905ANP
Because of the growing popularity of DSL service in private residences, it has become necessary to address interaction with Tek-ENTRY® TE900-series Telephone Entry Systems.
- PM905A—with this "phone-line version" of the TE equipment, there are no additional issues when a suite employs a DSL connection. In this scenario, the required filters (usually supplied by the DSL service provider) are installed in the suite itself, and the necessary separation of the signals is handled there.
- PM905ANP—with this "no-phone-line version" of the TE equipment, DSL service to a given suite will be temporarily disconnected while the TE equipment is in communication with that specific suite. This is because the connection to phone service is broken while the TE equipment is in use. When this communication is terminated, the DSL connection is re-established automatically. In most cases, this is not an issue to the user and may not even be noticed.
