TekTip: Replacement of SM101A Master Stations by SM201B Master Stations

This TekTip deals with the replacement of an SM101A Master Station by an SM201B Master Station and the steps that must be taken to adapt the remote stations in the system.

When an SM201B is substituted for an SM101A and if remote stations IR501B, OR501B or OR603 are in use in the system, an EC105 (16mfd. non-polarized capacitor) and wire jumper must be added as shown in diagram.

Schematics of the IR501B, OR501B and OR603 stations are also shown. Additional information is available through the SM201B installation instructions.
