TekTone®’s PK543 amplifier and control unit has always been a favorite in the Apartment Entry business. So popular, in fact, that other manufacturers copied our design. The PK543 has served well; therefore we're pleased to introduce TekTone®’s new version, the PK543A.
First, a review of the current PK543 features:
- Small, compact design: only 5.5" × 3.125"
- Surface mounted, no special housing required
- Use the same amplifier 3-, 4- and 5-wire systems
- Plug-in pigtailed connector for quick service replacement
- Three selectable door release delays
- AC or DC door release voltage allows for “silent” door release
- Separate Tone and Volume controls to fine tune your system
- Steady call tone at entry panel for call assurance
NEW! These are some of the additional features the PK543A has to offer:
- Power-On LED answers the all-important question: Is it on?
- Selectable Magnetic lock, AC or DC door release
- Talk Button Interlock offers increased security—talk must be engaged (available for 4-wire stations only)
- Door button hold time-out insures no one can “latch open” the door release
- PK543-compatible mode for drop in replacement—set it and forget it
- PK502B connector facilitates installation of multi-entrance systems
Magnetic Lock Release is becoming a hot feature, as more and more facilities realize its benefit during an emergency (when power is cut, the lock drops out). With Talk Button Interlock, the apartment station’s talk button must be pressed before the door release will function. Door button time-out insures that the electronic door release times out after a preset time.
